The mini is coming, the mini is coming!

It's not here yet, but I've heard numerous stories lately about the iPad mini. It's rumoured to have a 7 inch screen with the same capabilities as the iPad we're all learning to love (most of the time - see my previous post!) This promises to have some great advantages over the current iPad, as its size and weight can be a drawback for smaller or disabled students. For example, the student in our case study had limited functioning in one arm, so is using an iPod Touch for Proloquo. With the advent of this smaller, lighter iPad, she and other (non-hypothetical) students may be able to access all the features of an iPad in a more manageable form. More great news from Apple!
